Plan international, a child centered organization working in fifty developing countries across the world in Africa, Asia and Americas to promote child rights, launched a global campaign called „Because I am a Girl" (BIAAG) in October 2012.

Plan international Kenya commissioned a study of the factors influencing the girls' access, retention and completion of primary and secondary school education.
